Our Team

Our staff consists of young and dynamic, yet highly experienced professionals. Having worked many years in corporate management and finance, in an international environment, we have the knowledge, capabilities and competencies to provide a broad range of advice to various business entities.

Joanna Gosiewska – Giralt
CEO

Ms Gosiewska-Giralt creates solutions for business and, in particular, business growth strategies. She has over 10 years’ experience working at various levels of Polish and foreign capital groups. For many years, she has held key posts on corporate boards in various countries, continually enriching her knowledge of new markets and the challenges facing companies. Her skills include launching start-ups and creating organizational structures from scratch. She can pinpoint business risks and effectively protect against them. By taking a holistic view of an organization, she has the ability to identify complex solutions, linking them in a chain with management, finance, marketing, logistics and IT.

As the Group's CFO, she has created and controlled the finance and accounting areas of businesses in Poland, Brazil, China, Hong Kong and Russia. She has created short-term and long-term budget plans, supervised cost-control processes and managed logistics operations in import and transcontinental exports. She has worked with many banks around the world to create funding models for entities in the Group. She has exceptional interpersonal communication skills, and a passion for action, high competence, professionalism, commitment and high ethical standards are her special traits (not only in business).

A graduate of the Warsaw School of Economics, with a bachelor's degree in International Finance and a master's degree in Management and Marketing. Since 2006 she has held a bookkeeping license from the Ministry of Finance. An expert in the Brazilian market, she gave an interview to the daily Rzeczpospolita included in the article "Brazil - An Interesting Market for Polish Firms". Founder and President of the Board of the "First Job Assistance Programme Foundation". She manages her time well – between business, charity work and raising twins. She likes travelling, dancing, architecture and art.

Juan Giralt Silva
Partner

Mr Silva has over 25 years’ experience in FMCG (fast moving consumer goods), retail and industry. He worked over 17 years for the Jeronimo Martins Group, holding a variety of posts in the retail and industrial sectors, including CEO of a company in the Group. He opened a trading company in his native Brazil, then sold the business to a Hong Kong capital group, which he also headed as CEO. He gained experience working in an Asian-American environment by managing more than 70 people in China. He served as Vice-President for Sales at the Dixy Group in Russia for several months.

For more than 25 years he has been a partner in Panegara, a family business in Portugal. In 2015, he opened Panegara Sp. z o.o. in Poland, where he currently serves as CEO. Co-founder of the First Job Assistance Programme Foundation and partner at JG Business Support Sp. z o.o. A graduate of Chapman University in Orange County, California. He speaks four languages fluently: Portuguese, English, Spanish and French. Privately, he is married and the father of four children. In his spare time he travels, plays sports and reads books.

Brian Allan
Social Media & Marketing Manager

Specialist in creating effective marketing strategies and Social Media. He graduated from Auchmuty High School in the UK. For more than 10 years he has been involved in media communications in a broad, comprehensive sense. He gained his experience working for many large entities at home and abroad. For a long time associated with Empire Events.

Brian emphasizes that Poland is his second homeland. Private father of three children. In addition to his professional work, he also deals with singing, writing lyrics and playing the guitar.

Julia Umańska
International Trade Manager

Ms Umańska has many years’ experience in management, marketing and international trade, acquired through co-operation with institutions and companies in various sectors across Eastern and Western Europe as well as management of her own NGO.

She has worked for Chinese, Austrian, Indian, Swedish, Ukrainian, Russian and Belarusian companies. She has extensive experience developing international trade, acquiring new business clients, expanding into foreign markets, developing growth strategies for foreign companies, analyzing and comprehensively researching foreign markets, establishing and developing co-operation with foreign trade networks, negotiating international contracting conditions, organising the participation of enterprises in international fairs and project management.

She earned a master's degree in Management of Foreign Economic Activity from the European University in Kiev (IAU), and a master's degree in Marketing in Trade and Services from Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin. She has also completed postgraduate studies in Diplomacy and International Relations at Collegium Civitas (under the patronage of five PAS institutes) and in Emerging Markets: Asia, Africa, and South America from the Warsaw School of Economics. She is interested in foreign trade, international economic relations, international commercial law and politics (she is finalising her dissertation at the Faculty of Political Science, Maria Curie-Sklodowska University in Lublin).

Katarzyna Czernik
Office Manager

She acquired experience working as a customer service specialist and an administrative assistant at consulting companies operating in the finance, investment and real property sectors.

A graduate of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences (SGGW), where she studied marketing and social analyses, and of Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin, where she studied economic sociology.

She speaks Russian, Ukrainian and English.

Izabela Kukiz
Business Partner

Ms Kukiz has an educational background in finance, having earned a degree in Banking and Financial Consulting. She has over 25 years’ experience in B2B sales and business customer support. She has been building effective sales teams for 20 years. She has recently specialised in social insurance and comprehensive solutions to ensure the success of companies, partners and their families.

In her spare time, she travels, practices yoga and meditation.

Iwona Szybka
Business Partner

Iwona Szybka, founder of Business Consulting (search & selection), a boutique search company currently active on the Polish market since 1999. She acts as Managing Director, Senior Executive Search Consultant and a Coach. The company's specialties are executive search / head-hunting services for middle and senior managers and highly qualified professionals. Service recipients are in particular:

  • Foreign companies entering Polish market (market entry) - recruitment of key positions responsible for successful entry and its further development in Poland,
  • Polish companies planning to expand abroad (foreign expansion) - recruiting representatives of Polish companies responsible for business implementation /business development / sales in foreign market,
  • Polish companies with existing structure planning their further growth in Poland - recruitment of managers and experts to newly created departments within an organization,
  • Foreign companies with existing structure in Poland, planning their further growth/ replacement of expatriates by Polish managers.

Since 2010, Iwona’s company is the exclusive representative in Poland of Cornerstone International Group seated in Atlanta (USA) and Shanghai (China), an international organization of independent executive search companies from up to 40 countries on six continents, placed by Forbes on its rankings list: The America's Top Executive Recruiting Firms 2017. She has regularly attended the annual conferences of HR best practices in executive search, executive coaching among others in: Shanghai (2006), Madrid, Copenhagen, Geneva, Bucharest, Athens, Rome, Tel Aviv, New Delhi, Montreal, Atlanta, Shanghai, Beijing and Lima.

Since 2002 continuously, Iwona has acted as a local partner of Extenda – Trade Promotion Agency of Andalusia (Spain), a non-profit organization co-financed by the an Independent Andalusian Government (Junta de Andalucia), specialized in supporting small and medium-sized companies from Andalusia all over the world. And in Poland in particular in the area of introducing products and services to local markets, including: organization of trade missions, participation in industry trades, conducting market researches.

Iwona fluently speaks Polish, English and Spanish. She holds a diploma from the Institute of Psychology at A. Mickiewicz University in Poznań (2000-2002) and has also completed numerous HR courses and trainings. In 2012 she received an MBA from Human Resources Management at the Koźmiński University and in 2016 graduated from an accredited course at Norman Benett Academy with a Practitioner Business Coach license, currently undergoing individual EMCC accreditation (European Mentoring and Coaching Council).

Iwona's passion is a healthy, vegetarian lifestyle (since 1990). She is a promoter of nutrition ideas according to St. Hildegard of Bingen. She has also supported her education in food counseling (master and postgraduate studies). She is a passionate, licensed sailor, with over 1,000 miles on her account in the seas and hundreds of inland waterways. She can also be called a passionate traveler: 11,000 km in the Outback of Australia to the Amazon, Huayna and Machu Picchu in Peru.

Katarzyna Richter
Business Partner

Cross cultural psychologist and founder of Deal With Culture, an intercultural communication consultancy.

She has been developing her career for over 10 years in a multinational environment, living and working in the Middle East. So far she has been working with representatives of over 100 nationalities and visited nearly 100 countries, she conducted nearly 100 recruitment campaigns in over 20 countries, developed recruitment tools and built international teams as well as employer brands.

Katarzyna promotes intercultural communication in business by implementing an international mentoring program called Cross The Borders.

She is a columnist on intercultural communication in business for www.businessandprestige.pl - business and lifestyle news platform and a lecturer at postgraduate studies in Poland.

She explains cultural differences, meeting current needs of business. Her foundation is social science and her international experience in working with the biggest global brands.
