International expansion

JGBS globally

Poland’s weak national brand, reluctance to go beyond one’s comfort zone, lack of staff with international experience, insufficient knowledge about potential target markets, fear of financial risks and lack of experience and contacts abroad are just some of the reasons explaining why so few Polish companies have expanded into foreign markets. Of course, there are always exceptions, such as PESA S.A., Oknoplast Sp. z o.o., Inglot Sp. z o.o. or Fakro Sp. z o.o. Nevertheless, the potential of Polish business to expand abroad has so far gone largely unrealized.

Fortunately, interest in this subject is growing, and more and more Polish businesses are deciding to take the plunge. But how to do it the right way? How to gain customers? How to navigate the thicket of unfamiliar business practices, rules and regulations? How to adjust your business to the realities of each particular country and culture?

You can go it alone, by trial and error, which sometimes, unfortunately, leads to false starts. Or you can take advantage of the advice and assistance of people who have already gone through the process themselves, which usually ends up being more effective and certainly less expensive.

JG Business Support Sp. z o.o. has an international team whose members have managed large capital groups and ushered Polish entities onto foreign markets. Our co-operating offices in Shanghai, Hong Kong, São Paulo, Lisbon, Santiago de Chile and La Paz will enable you to become established on even the most distant markets quickly and efficiently. We have our own dealers and agents around the world, which allows us to operate an effective external export as well as import departments in numerous sectors.

Very often we see Polish products in countries like Brazil or China (e.g. yachts). Their Polish producers, however, do not sell them directly, but through a chain of intermediaries, who end up collecting the highest margins in these lucrative markets. This sales model differs completely from that used by German or Danish companies, which deal directly with their foreign customers, or pay relatively small commissions to their sales agents. We want Polish companies to fully benefit from unrestricted access to markets all around the world, to tout the Polish origin of their products, and above all, to make money for further investments and to conquer new markets. What benefits can Polish companies derive from working with us?

  • Structural, organisational and mental preparation of the company to enter foreign markets.
  • A strategy for getting established in each target market.
  • A list of contacts relevant to the company.
  • Assistance in securing financing and drawing up financing strategies.
  • A market assessment.
  • Experienced import and export department.
  • Formal organisation of entry into each target market (including difficult markets in Africa, Asia and South America).

We operate on every continent.
